Poppies for Remembrance Sunday
During the week, Monkey Puzzle Enfield have been making their own poppies for Remembrance Sunday. We used white paper plates and red, black and green powder paints. We all made our own unique designs for the poppies. Pre-school watched a short video all about Remembrance Sunday and why we wear poppies on this particular day. We all attached a lovely poem to our poppies to commemorate all the brave soldiers throughout the years.
“Poppy Poppy what do you say,
wear me on Remembrance Day,
Poppy Poppy what do you tell,
many soldiers in battle fell.
Poppy Poppy what should we know?
That peace on Earth should grow, grow, grow.”
